I read books sometimes. Some make me look smart and some make me look like a total idiot. Oh well either way.

From your shelf, I notice that you have read several Ramona Quimby books. I'm sure they were read a while ago, but that you remember them with fondness. I just wanted you to know that I went to the recent made movie two days ago and really liked it. I went with an open mind but feared that it would not do justice to Beverly Cleary's take on the wonderful, loving, quirky character of Ramona, but to my happiness it did! There were two very over the top incidents in the movie, but even that was bearable to me since the movie kept to the spirit of Ramona. I recommend that you see it and with children if possible. :-)

Hi Brandy I did the same with twilight I saw the movie first then it took me over a year to read the twilight saga. But like always the book was much better than the movie. My rule is read the book first then the see the movie. The same thing happen to me again with kiss the girls by James Patterson.

I went to Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and Italy.... Then I had to suffer an awful trip home with this volcano business... Turkey was the surprise of the trip. AWESOME ISTANBUL and Kusadasi... VERY liberal for a Muslim country. They drink and eat pork, but there are about 40% devout Muslims. They don't know Arabic... English letters are used. HIGHLY recommend. I saw the ancient city of Ephesus... And saw Pompeii and Herculeum in Italy, as well as all the usual sights.

I figured that the star rating was a mistake. I, too, have found the stars to be temperamental at times. ;-) And, I, too, have added friends for the purpose of getting to their shelves more easily.

After reading your recent clear and effective comments in the thread Feminism in the 21st Century in Women Speak, I came to peruse your shelf. I noticed that you gave Dreams of My Father one star but gave it a very positive review. Can you explain this?

Sooooo... You haven't been on in like 9 days..... I've been watching you. You think you're too good for the rest of us now??? HUH? I'm thinking about breaking-up with you. Unrequited love can only sustain its' self for sooo long. You leave me starving and withered for sustenance.... I need to be watered with your life encumbering embrace.... I'm going into the light........ I CAN SEE IT!
