I am becoming an avid follower of the material of Jerry and Esther Hicks. I would love to learn more about making my home "green," and I am slowly returning to my yoga practice, after having a child five years ago. I just ordered my first SARK publication, which I'm hoping will spark my creativity. I'm working on finding the joy in everything... more »

    Hi Kimma,

I really appreciate you accepting my Shelfari friendship request. If you are interested, I would like to invite you to be among the first readers to review my new motivational book "Moments of Forever: Discovering the True Power and Importance of Your Life" (a registered Shelfari title). It is a practical study in metaphysics that will help you find greater meaning in your life. Please help me launch this special book with your personal Shelfari review.

    Thank you!

    Dear Kimma,
    Peace be with you!
I don't check the messages here very often. Sorry for the 4 month delay. I'm on Facebook. Look for Wade Fahnestock.
I am not familiar with Jerry and Esther Hicks.

    Thanks and peace!

kimma. I received my certification from Satchidananda Ashram in Buckingham, VA. There was a guru there, but I am not a guru person. Teacher's training is very personal. Check out is Anna Forrest. http://www.forrestyoga.com/ I have seen a couple of teachers from her and they were good. Kripalu in Massachusetts is good http://www.kripalu.org/ and near your location in St Louis is Rod Stryker. http://www.parayoga.com/ and I love the heart and strength of Sarah Powers http://www.sarahpowers.com/. Yin Yoga is great for me http://www.yinyoga.com/ as is Vini Yoga http://www.viniyoga.com/. there is always Iyengar, all over the country. There is so many avenues to your yoga. You may find videos and books in the library to help you find Your Yoga. I am more into awareness while others are into strength. I do not like Bikram and have issues with it while Baptiste and Astanga Vinysasa I do not do, but I understand as a preference.I like soft Hatha Yoga (hatha is the physiological yoga.) I like Raja Yoga, the path to meditation. It is great that Yoga is calling you, Kimma. Do not worry. The right school will call you soon enough. II am open to any questions you may have. -- John

    Kimma,
Thanks for accepting my friend request. Yes, I have read some of Sitchen's books, he makes for some interesting conversations to say the least. I am going to try to have him on my show in the future. I would recommend "The 12th Planet" for those who don't want to get bogged down in all the technical details, as his writing can be a bit dry in some of his books. "Genesis Revisited" is also a good one.I had trouble getting through some of the others myself so I know what you mean! It is a fascinating theory though! Oh to have a time machine...LOL... Tune in to my show on blogtalkradio sometime, In fact, I will be having a guest on soon that sounds like someone you would be interested in. He will be on sometime in February. You can keep up with what is happening on the show by joining our Network site at http://paradigm.ning.com. Our show page is htt://www.blogtalkradio.com/night-raven. All of this info is also on my profile page here at Shelfari as well.
    Thanks again!
