    Hi Leashia!
I just wanted to thank you again for introducing me to the Anita Blake series and for letting me borrow your books! I'm so hooked! It's insane! I was reading one of them on vacation in Vegas with my family and I let my cousin read the first one that I bought, Guilty Pleasures, and now she's hooked and passed them on to her mom and she's hooked! I only let her read the ones I bought b/c I know how these poor paperbacks can fall apart so easily. I also told her that there are some at the library. I'm finishing up Narcissus in Chains, and you were so right about that book! I can't put it down. I can't believe the whole new dynamic with Micah, but I'm still in love with Jean-Claude...I can just hear him calling Anita "ma petite."

Oh, I pre-ordered Breaking Dawn, the last in the twilight series, so I will let you read that one too! My goal is to try to get through the Anita Blake series by the end of the summer (as you know, I have to read them in order)...I'm also reading several things for the book club at the same time, so it slows me down a bit.

I hope you are enjoying your summer!

    Christina :)

Hi Leashia, my summer reading has been intense since Rich graduated. I am now slowing down. I have read all of Hamilton's Anita Blake and Merry Gentry series. I like the Merry Gentry series better than the Anita Blake series though both are very enjoyable. She has another Merry book due to be published in November.

Now I am reading The Historian, and it is very good. I move through it much more slowly than with Hamilton, where I have a hard time putting down the book. The Historian's story opens more slowly but is still mysterious and scary. Next time I visit, I will try to remember to bring it to you.

I love Dean Koontz, too. He and Stephen King are so maccabre...sort of like modern day Edgar Allan Poes. Hope your week goes well. See you soon.
