    Yeah know what you mean, have lots of nieces and nephews and young cousins, don't get on that often myself only to update shelfari when I've read a book. I would say if you're lookin for a good modern sci-fi read try Allen Steele's Coyote series, Coyote, Coyote Rising, Coyote Frontier, Coyote Horizon and Coyote Destiny are the main books plus two spin-off novels, Spindrift and Galaxy Blues. Nothin published yet, my 1st book has been in the works for a while because it's been sidelined for school and college for the last six years. It's a novel and you guessed it, it's sci-fi and is part of series i've planned which I finally have time to write! Thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely have a look into your wife's publishing company.

    Hey David, thanks for the accept. I'm actually a qualified environmental chemist too, however my qualification is more aimed at water monitoring and there was some pharmaceutical stuff on the side. I like your taste in sci-fi, I love Isaac Asimov and I'm in the middle of reading the Mars series by Kim Stanley Robinson. I'm trying for publishing a book too and there's actually a great writers group on shelfari that's on my profile and a good few sci-fi groups too. Only interest I can't say I share is the beer labels! Not a big fan of beer, more a cider and spirits man! If you're looking for some good sci-fi reads, there's a good few on my shelf.
