    Hi Deanna, Fallbrook is in northern San Diego county. It's the avocado capital of the u.s., lol. I loved Into Thin Air, one of my favorites...Krakauer climbs Everest. I haven't read Into The Wild yet but it's waiting on my bookshelf. Was it good? I've also read Under the Banner of Heaven, but didn't like that one as much.

    I think 'A thousand splendid suns' is even better then the Kite Runner. Maybe that's because the story is about the life of women in Afghanistan. I hope you will like that book too.
