I've always been a big reader - but due to the discovery of bookswapping sites - they've fueled me to read more! So I don't really own many books, I just happily send them along to their new owner once I'm done.

One thing I regret is not writing down all the books I've read in my life. I'm slowly trying to remember them and catalog... more »

We have a number of authors in common in our reading. I tried, for a while, to record books read years ago. But gave it up. I do enjoy having a place to list the books I've read recently and see what others are reading and saying.

Hi! I found you because you added "Earth - The Book". ;) Are you a fan of the Daily Show, by any chance?
You have a lot of great books and groups! And I saw that you tagged your books - could you explain me how to do that, please? I haven't been able to figure it out. :(

Welcome to the Good Reads group, Suzanne. We are glad you joined and want to encourage you to participate. The group profile should give you some idea of how the group works as well as a list of books we have read.

For February, we are reading The Cellist of Sarajevo by Steven Galloway; and, for March we will be reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Please feel free to read along and join in the discussion. We would love to hear from you.

Hi Suzanne. I'm glad you joined the Canada group, so I'm here with an "official" welcome. :-)

I'm from the Canada group and just wanted to stop by to welcome you to the group. It's not a terribly active group, but it tends to comes in spurts. There is a Welcome and Introductions thread if you'd like to introduce yourself there. We also have a review thread if you read anything by a Canadian author. Of course, feel free to contribute to the other threads as well! Enjoy! :-)

And I see you've already found the thread for the group read. I hope, whatever book is chosen, you are able to take part as well.

Hi Rachel! I'm here on behalf Author, Author and wanted to welcome you to our forum. February's featured author is Daphne Du Maurier, and we have two alternate authors, james Patterson and A. M. Homes. If you're interested, you can choose a book written by any (or all!) of these three authors, and after you've read it, please come post a review and star rating so the rest of us in the group know what you read and whether you liked it or not. Feel free to look through our past authors, or chime in about February's. Also be sure to stop in around mid-month each month and put your name in the drawing to pick an author. Happy Reading!

The print version of the book is available on Amazon.com for about $10, but since I’m hoping for a review, I didn’t feel it was appropriate to expect you to buy a copy :) Would you be interested in an audiobook?

    The Ancient One says

I live for those who love me,
For those who know me true,
For the Heaven that smiles above me,
    And awaits my spirit too;
For the cause that lacks assistance,
For the wrong that needs resistance,
For the future in the distance,
And the good that I can do.

You get to see all the crappy books I read.

I realized I was losing track of what I read - so we;ll see if this helps.

Hi Suzanne! I just made a new group to talk about the New York book scene, exchange recommendations, and that sort of things. It is called New Yorkers Unite! As a fellow New Yorker, I wanted to ask you to join. Look forward to seeing you there.
