Hi Maria: I am sending this to advise you of any changes. The message is one that I sent to James. Hi James, That's Ok , I feel for you for having to deal with 300 kids! I would not last until the end of the day. I would probably go home dragging my knuckles to the floor. Thank you for your encouragement. James. I have asked Lynn, if she wants to lead since she made the suggestion, hopefully, I'll hear from her soon. If she wants to lead we'll promote her to co-admin and she can go for it. I haven't heard from Maria, one of our co admins, for a long time now. I don't know what happened to her. I hope that she is OK. I have told Glenn my hubby, that I will demote him because he hasn't been active lately because of other commitments. He is OK with that. I deleted 3 of the old discussions and now we are down to 12. I agree that we should let them float for a while. As for the currently reading and the `what are you reading thread, I see your point. The former has generated only 8 discussions, but that may very well be because the two discussion threads are the same. Yes, that's fine with me, James. Delete wharever you think should go. What can we do to ensure that all our co- admins are notified of any changes?
Hi Maria, As you might have noticed I placed a suggestion box to have some idea on how many members would be interested in reading a book together and then discussing it. I guess members that are interested can start a group with one leader who, will be in charge of choosing a book for the group to read. I prefer if members have the choice to discuss other books as well. Some may have read the book that is recommended or they might choose not to participate. My main concern is that members should enjoy reading whatevr books they like to read. Having said that,shall I get the members that suggested this idea to be the leader or do you think that the admins should do that? Hi Maria, One of our members suggested that we could select a book so that we can all read it, a leader, I guess, will suggest which book to read. I would like your ideas on that. Being a general type of group where everyone likes to read all sorts of books it might be a bit difficult unless some of the members choose to read one book, and others can read what they want. Hi Maria, thank you for starting a few discussion going. You are a real jewel!!! My husband Glenn is a retired professor of Business and MIS. He always wanted to become a literature professor, but there is not enough jobs in this area. So, he opted for Business. I did my bachelor of Social work and worked in that area for a number of years. We lived in the Emirates in the past 8 years and have recently returned to Melbourne, our home. So, here we are studying again. I am enjoying the course. Glenn and I would like to be CBT therapists when we graduate. In the mean time, back to reading. i wish that we had 48 hours a day so, I can spend some time reading some of my favorite books. I have a long list of books that I woudl like to read!!! Do you translate from portuguese to English??
Hi Maria, Its me again. I am impressed in the number of books that you have readso far. I have read a couple of the historical books you recommended. Great staff.
