Briana is raising her late twin sister's baby. It is very hard. She makes up a husband, David Paxton, a supposed miner in Denver, so she can pretend to be a married woman. One of her employers insists she write letters to him in Denver asking his to come get her and Daphne. One day he shows up!!! This is a wonderful love story, once again Catherine Anderson has won me over

I loved the different twists in the story. Maddy betrayed by her world famous husband, changing her celebrity chef status into help for sheltered women. Lucas a Navy SEAL coming home to settle after war and using his carpentry/architectural skills to help with Maddy's project. Reunion of former loves.

Love all the books in this series. Western romance, family feuds (some that lead to murder), class struggles, romance all mix up to make wonderful stories that you cant put down. You know, you are almost finished with one, you are going out to eat so you stick the next one in your purse in case you need it. Texas on steroids!

Next in the Blackthorne-Creed feud. This is Owen Blackthorne's story. The Creed in the story is BAyleigh Creed. Owen is a Texas Ranger. Bay's brother is missing and a suspect in the theft of very dangerous lethal gas mines. Bay thinks that Luke is innocent and trying to find out who is guilty. Owen has lots of evidence that Luke is the guilty one. Wonderful and dangerous romance

  • Penelope and Prince Charming

What a romp. Real Prince Charming, Plain Jane, prophecy, yucky monsters, evil villains all give you a great read. Prince Charming from strange country shows up to marry Penelope's mom to fulfill prophecy to save his country. The fulfillment is very involved beginning with the fact that mom has a beloved boyfriend and wont' wed him. So she passed the special ring (proof of prophecy) on the Penelope who loves him instantly and want to help him. What a riot. Loved it

3.5* because I felt the story was very contrived. And soon got tired of our 25yr old widowed Princess acting like a 12yr old. Don't know why our hero Prince Dominic tolerated her.

Feuding Texas ranch families Blackthorne and Creed lead to a wonderful romance like Romeo and Juliet. These two families have been feuding for centuries and every little offense just multiplies the hatred. Great characters and this is only the beginning of a long series.

  • The Fall of Shane MacKade
    • Rated 5 stars

Shane, younger brother of Devin, lives on the old home place. The whole of the town is believed to be haunted by the murder and death of a Yankee soldier and a Reb soldier. A friend of the family comes to town to find out about the ghosts. Shane refuses to admit that he can see and feel them on the farm. Rebecca McKnight is a ghost hunter (too small a place to tell all about her). She sets up her ghost hunting machines on the farm. Shane is overcome with her and the ghosts. Loved this love story
