I am a retired Elementary School Librarian. I read about 200 books a year. I belong to a women's group that is based on reading. We do not read the same books..just share what we read. I am a volunteer at my granddaughter's school library. I buy all my books but pass them on to my daughter-in-law and then the book club so cant mark "own" on... more »

Ditto, Marty H. When you post that a book's good I know it's one I can rely on. Just that there isn't enough hours in a day to read all I want to - and play on this computer, too. I spend so many hours doing this; but I love it.

That sounds good. Have you read all of the books in the series. I enjoy reading a book series because you really get to know the characters.

Thanks Marty! I was wondering if I would have to read them in order. So, the house numbers go up as the series progresses?

Thank you very much for your note, Marty--I'll definitely take a peek at your shelf very soon. And thanks for the recommendation. I always enjoy starting in on a new author and she seems like a big one in the romance genre industry.

'Whitney, My Love' is my favorite McNaught novel so far. She wrote that novel so fantastically. I remember readnig it and literally feeling every emotion that the main characters went through throughout the twists and turns of the plot. Genius.

I'm highly looking forward to all the books I have left to read by her.

No problem! We fixed an issue last week where the discussions were updated (due to editing or removal) but the change wasn't showing up on the page immediately. If this happens to you again, please let me know (and include a link to the discussion you've updated that isn't working). Thanks!

I was really impressed with The Wizard of Seattle. It didn't feel dated and was very good concidering I don't like Time travel books either.

Hi Mary, I've been in Western NY, so haven't been checking my Shelfari page, but I'm delighted you enjoyed Aggie. I'm about to start her next book. I always look forward to that so much.

Hope you've had a lovely summer.

Thanks! I am a certified teacher but can't find a job. I'm going back to school for my masters in education. Can't decide between concentration in reading or Library science. Any recommendations?

Marty, I tried to view the Youtube letter and all I found was an interview done a while back. It was only okay, and I know it wasn't what you meant. No dice - that's because I'm so dense when it comes to finding stuff on this computer.

I LOVED Glitter Baby, I just finished it this afternoon. I haven't read a Women's Fiction novel in years, so it was a nice change to read something where you got to know the characters real indepth. I loved everything about that whole book, (Alexi, Belinda, Micheal, Jake, Kissy and Fleu) They will be characters that I will never forget.
