I loved this book. It's a retelling of the years of the Odyssey from Penelope's perspective, but told in the modern era from Hades. In addition to giving a brief overview of the Odyssey , there is a lot of social commentary in the book as well as hints at Atwood's interepretation of the myth. It's a quick and light read.

  • Neopagan Rites: A Guide to Creating Public Rituals that Work
    • Rated 3 stars

A good *introduction* but does not deliver the depth I would have liked to have seen, as a result does not stand alone well as a complete guide to creating public rituals. Much of the book is very repetitive. The same material shows up in several section. In places it almost feel like the authour was trying to 'fill' space. In other areas the information provided is much to sparse. It is, however, a good introduction to crating public ritual and I beleive is currentlyt he only book of its kind available. For more depth, I suggest combining with the public ritual chapters in Grey Cat's "Deepening Witchcraft."
