I didn't start out as a lover of books. I was too much of a tomboy, always too busy to come in and read a book. It wasn't until I worked in a quaint little bookshop called "The Bookworm," with Rita, an older lady from England, who devoured books and encouraged me, that I became a convert. I've been a constant reader ever since with an endless pile of books nearby.
I live with my husband of 35 years, and a black Am. Cocker Spaniel named Max, who follows me everywhere. We have four grown sons, a few of which have not yet fled the nest, and a grandson who is the apple of my eye. I'm a volunteer "Cuddler" in the N.I.C.U. at a local hospital.
We recently visited one of our twin sons, who's been studying abroad in beautiful Florence, Italy. It was like stepping back in time and into another world. I am now in love with Italy; it's history, architecture, art, food, and people, and look forward to returning someday.
