I Love to read almost anything. My favorites are romantic suspense and vampire novels. My favorite authors are Jodi Thomas, Sandra Brown and Sharon Sala (AKA) Dinah McCall. I read everything by these three authors. I also like Stephen King and Dean Koontz, but have gotten away from them.

    Ella,
Have you tried the Midnight Breed books yet? What's the verdict? As I move along in the series, I find myself doing a lot of skimming. But I can't wait to get a hold of the next Immortals After Dark book by Kresley Cole. . .

Oh, and I made a mistake when I told you Angela Knight writes the Breed series--it's Lora Leigh. Angela Knight does have a series with werewolves, though. In the one I read, the guy was "undercover" as a police dog to find out who murdered his best friend. The heroine was his cop "partner."

Oh-- and if you are looking for any of the vampire books or other paranormals on my shelf (so far), I have them tagged under urban fantasy/paranormal romance for easy reference :)

Yes, I am really liking Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed books. They are sort of romantic suspense with vampires :) Comparable to J.R. Ward's Brotherhood series w/o the weird and distracting language. The books so far are 1) Kiss of Midnight, 2) Kiss of Crimson, 3) Midnight Awakening, and 4) Midnight Rising. I haven't started the third book yet. This weekend I started reading Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark books, which are REALLY interesting. Vampires, werewolves, valkyries, etc. From a world-building aspect, the series has got me hooked. And I had no idea Linda Lael Miller had a vampire series! It's been years since I read anything by her, and most of those were western historicals.

Ella, which vampire series are you referring to? Currently all the ones on my shelf are more romance than horror. There are tons of series out there, and I would love to help you find some that are to your tastes (contemporary/historical, dark/funny, etc.) if you let me know what you are looking for.

As far as werewolves/shapeshifters go, there are tons of options there too. The Christina Dodd Darkness Chosen series or Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld (series begins w/ werewolves and later intros other supernatural beings; it is a bit lighter on the romance and more in the urban fantasy category though) might interest you. There is also Angela Knight's Breed series, though they are not exactly werewolves and tend to be a little (a lot) racy. And I've never read any Lori Handeland books, but I may give them a shot later.

Hi, Ellie. Wasn't the Richard Chamberlain book any good? I noticed you only gave it 2 stars; should I read it anyway? I do still like him and would be interested in knowing all about the shattered love(s)! Later, Ter

Hey, girl! Good to see you on the shelfari site. I've decided it's kind of fun to check in on and keep up with although I know I'll never remember all the books I've read, their titles, etc. I kind of get some of them all mixed up. I have so many I still want to read, including that George Michael one you're talking about and so many more. It's one of the few activities I still look forward to doing that takes my mind off everything else for a while. It helps that Tracy is a librarian and knows what I like. Hope you're all continuing to do well. Later, Terry

Hi! I see my mom got you to join. (Or that's what I'm assuming, anyway!) Now you (and she) just have to start putting books on your shelves. I've found it's a fun way to keep track of what you've read and to get ideas for future reading (in betwee Sandra Brown releases!).
