Well to be really truthful I'm not so much of a fan of the Basil Rathbone movies. Not against the actor himself, but because of the way they portray Watson. Nigel Bruce is absolutely the worst Watson in my opinion! But Basil Rathbone is a pretty good Holmes. But still in my opinion, the best Holmes is Jeremy Brett, Have you seen any of his?

You asked an astute question about Lady Chatterly's Lover. The page jumped so this note. The book was shocking for its time, but it still remains an adult book, not because it is about taboo stuff but more about ability to comprehend adult sorrows and problems. If you are still young don't bother reading it yet. Wait till you are in college at least. Or longer.

I have not read those yet. If I get a chance, I may order them this fall.
ahahha WOW. very detailed.i do think timothy dalton was the james bond who really LOOKED the part, but sean connery just makes me smile lol.i loved goldeneye but there's just something about pierce brosnan that makes me cringe. same with daniel craig, but i'm still really excited about the new film. i think i'm gonna go to the movies dressed up in character. maybe they'll give me a discount. : )ps. that lady in goldeneye with the crazy thigh muscles freaked me out so much when i was younger haha
I was really scared to do my first year. The story rolled out of me. Give your play some serious thought. I have been kicking a screenplay around with specific rolls for actors. My dad has been pushing it for years! YEARS! If I could just try and get through it, I think it could be something great. I am not a big fan of the Twilight series - my last review was horrid. She sold her charecters out. Why in god's name would a werewolf hang out with a vampire? Traditionally. were they not enemies? And writing yet another sequel from Edwards POV? that is such a hack thing to do!
i loved sean connery in you only live twice. of course, i was watching it at 3am so maybe it's not half as entertaining as it was at the time. i'm so excited for the new one that's coming out!what about you?
so,how do you find stephen king's books?..i noticed that you've read many of his books already.
I'm sorry I didn't see your friendship request until yesterday, because i haven't logged in for some time. I've since seen your book liking and that your number of friends does not exceed your number of books so I think it will do. Nice to meet you!
yes it is my first.i was actually a bit surprised; i expected it to be more difficult, but i do love it. i became obsessed with the Bond movies so i figured i should read the books.have you read any of them?

I don't know... Usually movies take on the most interesting parts of a book and put in the movie. I didn't see any of this. And it seemed so slow.I'll check out the group and see what they think so far.Thanks.
As a teacher, I am always checking out what the kids are reading. I started this group of books because my dad saw the author on Good Morning America a long long time ago and he bothered me until I made him buy them all for me. I have an in progress vampire novel of my own and all I could think reading this last one was "my god, my charecters are infectious where her's are sort of drooling on themselves. Her chars were all so flat. I like nice round chars bouncing around showing thing that they do. Do they look for the recently dead/unembalmed? Do they make zombie companions? Who knows! Are they masters of the werewolves, or do the vampires prefer their own non freakish transforming canine companions? Are you a member of nanowrimo of shelfari? I am sending you an invitation :)
to be honest its a little slow so far but im only on the 3/4 chapter. im reading 2 other books as well so im not giving it my full attention. i think once i finish reading the others i will have the time to fully enjoy it. have you read it? what did you think?

Thanks for the welcome. I don't do nearly as much reading as I used to, and for the past 3 years I've been delving into more non-fiction than fiction... I have my 'pet' topics that I get on a a roll on and overdo it. The staff at our local library love it when I come in and as for an inter-library loan... there are times that the head of the library will actually buy a book for their shelves based on the topic or appropriateness/timeliness of the subject.I've kept a personal bibliography from over the past 2 and a half years and am going to try to get them all on my bookshelf here..Craig
it's one of my favorite books...
I've heard Truman Capote's book mentioned a few times. Always in a good light. I'm going to have to added to my list. Thanks.
I read this book ages ago. But I did like it. Although since the book, we've seen a lot of docutmentaries etc., on Manson. So if you've seen the documentaries on him, I don't think there's much more you'll find in the book.
