I am a librarian in Minneapolis, MN. I have worked as a librarian at a South African University, and ever since has had an immense interest in South African Literature and non-fiction. I currently read a lot of post apartheid fiction by some of the great Black South African authors. It is pretty tough to find it in the states, but luckily my wife is from ZA, and thus we spend a lot of money at Exclusive Books in Pretoria and Jo'burg when we visit her family (last time we spent about R1500, but it was totally worth it!)

Currently I am a public librarian, which is nice because my customers and fellow librarians have pointed me to new and different writings... though I will always make time for my old stand-bys. « less
