    Heyy you asked me about the mortal instrument books...
    well im not sure how it ends because i havnt read the last book but in the second book it is pretty much brother and sister in love but they cant be together
    but there are twists which were the reasons i kept reading. trust me i totally agree with you i dont like that whole they cant be together thing but you do get something in the second book that makes you think.

    hopefully this helps + i hope you do read the next two books :) they really are worth it!

    Finished The Surgeon which was a Great suspense/mystery. Now going to try and read To Kill a Mockingbird and finish it in time for book club discussion. Then going to read The Sinner by Gerristan. I saw the tnt episode of The Apprentice so was thinkning that reading it would kind of be a waste sense i already know who it was. Hope the other episodes I've already seen aren't copies of the books! anyone know that has read her books and seen the series.

    Hello there :) You asked me to let you know if 'The Bride Collector' by Ted Dekker was a page-turner. As I said in the thread, it's quite good. It's a definite page turner and I'd recommend you give it a try first chance you get.

    I've read all the SIGMA force novels. I really liked Black Order. I'd say either it or Sandstorm was my favorite. I personally would read the books in order though. Sandstorm and Map of Bones were the first two.

    I have three boys, ages 6, 2, and 6 months. I know what you mean about reading being an escape. Yesterday morning after taking care of all sorts of sickness while being sick myself, I shut myself in my bedroom with a book for about three hours and let my husband take care of the kids. It was a nice break.

    Hi Shellie - in Women of Faith we are going to be reading “Snow Flower and the Secret Fan” by Lisa See next. Our discussion will start on March 1st. I just posted a note about the Confessions of Saint Augustine to see if people still want to do that a chapter at a time. Keep an eye on the thread. I'm glad you can join us!

    Hey Shellie! Thanks for your note. I'm so blessed that you enjoyed the book--AND that you'll tell your book club! That's so exciting for me since I'm trying to get the word out about this book. Why? So my publisher will be happy to let me write many more, lol! Let me know if your club decides to read as a group, so I can somehow contribute to the discussion. Thanks again,
    and please do get on my mailing list so I can send you my latest book updates and regency newsletter!

    Thanks for the request. I'm glad you liked my list. I couldn't believe how uplifting Glass Castle turned out to be, considering the subject. I thought that it was amazing how the author was able to keep things light, when she was describing her own personal hell. Wow! I wasn't sure I would read Nineteen Seconds, as I tend to be a bit of an ostrich (sticking my head in the sand), but I was so glad that I did. Anyone who has kids and all teenagers should read that one. Marley and Me was so sweet, so sad, and so darn heartwarming. I balled my eyes out, but it was so worth it. I hope they did the movie well.

    Dear Shellie;

    Great to hear from you. Yes I read it and interviewed the author on my blog and my review of the book is on Shelfari. I have read other books that he has written and really have enjoyed his work. He is a fun guy. You should check out his interview. I did it last month on my blog. I hope that school is doing good. www.psalm516.blogspot.com

    Hello and welcome Shellie P to the Lynn Austin and Karen Kingsbury Readers group! I look forward to hearing more from you again soon. I also saw that you have read Karen Kingsbury's Redemption- a very powerful series. I started with that book last year and have been reading Karen Kingsbury books ever since :-). I hope you find time to read all the books in the Redemption series, as well as the series of books that follow. They have really helped with my spiritual growth. Have a wonderful day and happy reading!!

    Hi Shellie,
    Don't you have a library card? It would save you a lot of money! I am fortunate to live close to 6 libraries and work within walking distance of the main Cleveland Public Library downtown. "Family Secrets" was one of my library reads.
