Obviously, reading is one of my favorite hobbies, or else I wouldn't be on here. I read all kinds of things, but you can probably see my favorite subjects just by checking out my book list. I've started reviewing what I've read and what I am currently reading, so if you want to chat about any book, just say 'hi'!

I killed the "revolution" group. It was like a lonely foster child. Anyway, I'm more than happy to carry on correspondence in whatever fashion and timeframe suits you. And thank you for your input into the group.

I looked at your entire bookshelf for the first time. Whoa, impressive - you are a seeker. Have you read anything by Robert Baer? You might like him - former CIA, worked in Lebanon, very knowledgeable about the Middle East and gets way beyond your normal news bites. I'm reading his current book, which is on Iran ("The Devil We Know").

Uh, in my experience a lot of people are not trying that hard to understand. You run across someone every once in a while that is a "seeker", as I call them.

I started a group yesterday - "Dangerous Minds - The Revolutionaries". Oddly enough, as you wrote in your reply to me - "philosophical, scientific, spiritual, political, etc" - this is exactly what I put in the description of the new group.

It seems we are shooting at the same target, more or less. I join your group, you join mine? It is a minor thing, either way is fine with me.

As for what I'm looking for - simply stimulation.

As for your comment about "like minded" individuals, I think I would rather get a bunch of people who are not of the same opinion, that way there is more area of contention and probably would be more interesting to folks. But maybe by "like minded" you merely mean people who are generally interested in the pursuit of understanding, not necessarily that they all agree with each other (I'm being way too literal I'm sure).

I am inquiring about your Scientists in Support of Occult Political Movements in America. The names itself seems funny. And then in the description you have as your purpose - "the understanding of the world and all its functions".

Tell me more. Is this a joke or serious?

And is it just focused on religious topics? I mean, "understanding the world and all its functions" is fairly ambitious!!!!

All you have to do is add the book to your account. When you do that, you can view th book by double clicking on it. You will see the information page for that book come up and you have an option to add it to groups. Go from there. Call me if you want, or send me the IBSN# and I'll do it for you.

So I still do not know how to give you admin rights, not sure of you care, but I thought it would be fun. I'm still awaiting a response from Shelfari on that very question... So what do you think the scope of the group should be? What is the purpose, is this going to be something we get people all hot and bothered by? I'm listening. :)

Hey Scott! This is such a better way to waste time than MySpace. BTW, I deleted my Facebook accnt. I found it to be too much on the 'give-personal-information-and-experiences-for-the-purpose-of-free-advertising' schemed...
