I can't wait to finish ONE FIFTH AVENUE, which is very good, to begin reading it. I am due to watch my grandchildren on Tuesday, so tomorrow will be relaxing day (read to my hearts content) Hopefully I will finish it. Like your Halloween witch, it is time for me to retire my broom (grandmoms should be GOOD witches) but I don'tparticularly see myself as the GLENDA type. Villians have always been my favorite Disney characters. But thanks for your thoughts on the book, until later HAPPY READING.

Tenia,lol . . .well, unfortunately I don't have a current count on the participation points as I don't necessarily calculate all of them until closer to the date for picking the tag.Right now, they ALL automatically go toward tag selection unless someone specifically tells me they want to hold some back. But it makes sense to allow them to be used for the raffle as well (so thanks for the idea there).I will get you a count in the next few days. I know you've got one for coming up with the cheerleading idea, but everyone who puts a review on the LIO thread is going to get 1 per review . . .soooo I've got to pull that together very soon.Anita
Feel free! I read every day, and I am pretty fast, so I've managed to add a lot of books to my shelf. I've been a little slower lately, but there is still plenty there to look at!
Actually, to be honest - for a lot of the books I've added to my list, I plan to check my library. If the library doesn't have them, they may just come off the list, instead of me doing in interlibrary load or buying it myself, though that will probably depend on each book, individually. So, some of them may come off my list later, but we'll see. In a way, I am kind of wishing I wasn't doing LIO (though I am enjoying it), just because there are so many royal biographies and Jack the Ripper books I'd like to read! This would be a great month for them, but most of those books don't fit many layers, so I'm putting those off for now (though I do plan to get one in there at least!). I did read the last Harry Potter and it counts for England because it's tagged that way, but I would never have tagged it England myself, so I still want to read one that I would consider tagging England!
Wow! I've been told that I have 3 wisdom teeth that aren't going to pop through, but the dentists have told me that if it hasn't bothered me yet, it's not likely to, so they're leaving them there. Don't worry about all the good books! I'll manage...hehe!

No, I'm sorry. I just got my first letter sent out yesterday. I had three more people accept the challenge, but now I can't get their address from them. I haven't given up yet. Please bear with me :0)
Tenia, I see you just posted THE OTHER QUEEN...how is it?? It came the same day as ONE FIFTH AVENUE...I just went eenie meanie minee moe (the QUEEN lost, so she's next in line). Tenia,I'm sorry, but I guess I don't "get" how the boards really differ than before. You can definitely cheer on the LIO Leaderboard that was posted this morning. You can start new posts whenever you want to with a cheer. You can post on ANY discussion group other than the scoring discussions, like in the LIO Review board. It just is hard to score as it is and as the weeks move along, it gets harder because the threads get too long. So we are trying to avoid that.I'd say just start new discussions for the best visibility!I don't think the posts are really any more buried than ever . . .but maybe I'm missing something!!

I got Baby Proof by Jane Green, The Bad Place, Velocity, and Twilight Eyes all by Dean Koontz, and Heather sent me The Year of Fog.I know one of them was from Nicky because she put a note in it. I'm not sure about the others though.

Glad you are feeling better. Have you been to the dentist yet? I need to go just to have my teeth cleaned but we have no insurance, so it will just have to wait. I looked up the Encyclopedia Horrifica at my library & requested a hold for it. I really need to start reading faster, I just finished one book but have two more checked out & now a third is on my hold list. I've got a lot going on right now so if you see that I need to come give a cheer, by all means, let me know. It seems that the England tag is popular & I've got a lot of books to long in the morning. Plus with getting one little off to school & another is trying to start spoon feeding. And of course there is always the Big Kid a.k.a Hubby :0) And then I'm still trying to figure out a way to make a few extra bucks from home. So how many more books do you need to complete TITTM? I'm cheering for you on that one!!! I couldn't do it.
