ha! i hate it when i make an error like that and it's too late. :)
anyway, he's a very goofy, doesn't make a lot of sense, kind of author, but i really enjoy his characters. i think _fool on the hill_ was the first i read, but it's been ages now...

i really enjoyed it, but you might have to be me. :) it reminds me a lot of the comics i read when i was a teen--lots of random sci fi and freak-out quotient without a lot of substance and sense...lots of violence, too.
have you read any of matt ruff's other books?

Either she got lucky with Devil Wears Prada or her editors suck! It was interesting and sometimes funny but the flow was way off.

The name of the book is "Skin Hunger". I ended up announcing you as the winner, btw, as you are probably the only person participating in YA Jeopardy at all familiar with the book and that's good enough for me.

It was a nice quick read. I liked the snippets of interviews before each chapter and it kind of reminded me of Heathers...

Yeah, I talked to that guy. He had never heard of her husband's books so I told him all about them. He may be back!
