So sad to think it is a true story. Guy-Paul Morin was the victim of Durham one-track-mind police work and a misguided grieving mother. How things can be misinterpreted and cring to jail an innocent man. He has been rehabilitated since but I am sure he still hurts for what was done to him. People are sometimes too fast at judging and accusing without looking into the real facts.

Remember that (alas) it is a true story.

If you like Redrum (reverse for Murder) you might like Bonfire of the Vanities, though it is pure fiction - contrary to Redrum.

You say you plan to read The Innocent Man, by J. Grisham. I did not read it, so I cannot comment. A book on the same topic really worth reading is Redrum The Innocent by Kirk Makin. The story of a grieving mother who accuses her neighbour, the police tunnel vision, a terrible miscarriage of justice.

Hi, and welcome to the Chiller group! Just wanted to let you know about a few things we have going on in the group. Our author of the month is Michelle Gagnon. She's leading discussions on both of her books and you're welcome to jump in if you like. If you do not want to participate that is fine, too. The group's been around for a while so there are a ton of threads. Hop on over to our introduction post and tell the group hi and talk about your favorite horror authors. Feel free to start your own discussion posts and browse our growing group shelf.

Also, since we're at the halfway mark for September, I wanted to let you know that our October reads are K. Patrick Malone's titles, Haunted Mind and The Digger's Rest. He's a member of the Chiller group and will be leading these discussions. Join in next month if you're interested.

Any questions at all just ask, same for suggestions or ideas. If you would like to be added to the list of people that receives group update notes, please add Diamondgirl as a friend and leave her a note letting her know that you want Chiller updates.
