Hi Barbara, thanks for dropping by. I am learning my way with audio books but would love some suggestions. Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer was awesome and I am presently listening to Little Bee by Chris Cleave which I am enjoying. I'll be waiting on those recommendations!

I really did enjoy "Garden Spells"; it was just a nice sweet story and the little bit of magic was great.
I think you will like "Sweetheart" as much as you did "HeartSick". I just finished "Evil at Heart"; while I thought the first 2 were better, this one was still very good.
Certainly know what you mean about the stack of library books! It seems that everything I want to read comes in at the same time and the waiting lists can get very long at times. I actually have 4 new ones at home right now and that doesn't take into consideration what I want to read for my Shelfari groups. So many books - so little time.
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Thanks for accepting my friendship request. We do have a lot in common. Did not know you cross-stitched-sadly I haven't worked on anything in months. Also wanted to tell you I like mystery and thrillers but I'm more into true crime (psychological slant not gory). My favorite true crime author is Ann Rule.

The Repairman Jack books aren't heavy on the paranormal stuff so you might like those more then all the others I suggested. They are more thrillers with a touch of paranormal and it is only is some of the books.

yes, 153! I tried to tag my books whenever i have the time so that when i go search for the book in my shelf i can easily retrieve it, but still got more books to tag. Thanks for the recommendation, i may look up Play Book Tag in the future when things will slow down here in my corner of the world.

What are you reading now? Im currently on an official trip attending a convention in another island, i brought with me Never Let Me Go, already half-way with the book, still intrigue how this will unfold. I like the writing style of Ishiguro.

Thanks, Barbara M, about the new pic. It's at the request/urging of one of my daughters. I have this newer one on Facebook and Terri just didn't admire the one I'd posted here, so I found out how to change it. And no, I think it's from last spring around Mother's Day. My kids are always sending me flowers and I've a few pics with various ones they've sent me.

Yes, I'm in Florida now, since the 28th, and it sure is lovely weather. Especially considering what there was when I left Mass. I revel in this, really. Thanks for the note.

If you think you would enjoy the Jim Butcher books, also try: Mike Carey (first book is The Devil You Know), F. Paul Wilson's Repairman Jack series (1st book is The Tomb), and Justin Gustaninis book called Black Magic Women. They are all great writers and write sort of detective urban fantasy (or paranormal) books.

Hi Barb, sorry for late updates, busy, busy. Just read The Alchemist. A little deep but a nice story with a happy ending. I am now reading The Last Summer of You and Me, by the lady who wrote the sisterhood of the traveling pants. I must confess I do read some (girly! books.) I'm a sap for good love stories and this one is so far quite good. Don't tell any of my male friends I enjoy a good girly love story. Just kiding. I love any good book. I also finnished the second Tana french book In The Woods. Really good, she is a very good writer whos has the ability to make her characters come alive What have you been reading? Nice to hear from you. Ken

Yes, it is a Wysocki. I love the art of Wysocki and Rockwell. I have been
debating about listening to the GUERNSEY book. Books which consist of
a long line of letters or emails don't usually hold my interest.
