Hi R,I just stopped by to see if you've read or plan to read The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson. It's now one of my favorite books. I'm spreading the word to friends that have varied reading interests. It's truly an amazing book, a debut novel that's getting quite a bit of literary attention. I would even go so far as to say it's a masterpiece. If you read it, let me know what you think.~E
Hi, just checking in to see how your summer is going and what you thought of Breaking Dawn. The book has caused quite a stir!
Thank you for recommending "Keturah and Lord Death" by Martine Leavitt. It was wonderful and is now one of my favorite books. IMHO, it's one of those rare stories that young and old can enjoy and find something meaningful within in its pages.

john grisham is typical writer...not to mention that he is always writing about law suits or juries....its very typical from him since he studied law himself...either way, the guy could be more creative if he wanted to..anyway...its just my opinion....I read the Firm, the testament, the king of torts, and the summons....they are pretty old now but they depicted a common imagae out of him.I like your pic by the way.

Hi! I am a John Grisham fan too. Have you read A Painted House, Skipping Christmas and Bleachers? They are different from his usual style. A Painted House is worth reading.
Happy 4th!
With Twilight Saga discussions getting heated again, I feel I should re-read them! I just bought A New Dawn where other authors discuss Twilight, werewolves, vampires, etc. Have you read it? The first entry really surprised me, the author seems a bit jealous of the books success although she says she's only comparing the reader crossover and what her books have in common with the series. I'm really curious what other authors think. I've actually never seen a book like this-a bunch of authors commenting on anothers work. I hope they rise above any jealousy they may feel and discuss the book and it's popularity from a unbiased position.
Hi Rox, several days ago you posted a book that you thought Twilight readers would enjoy. I've scanned the forum but can't find where it's listed. Could you send it to me please? It sounded like something I would truly enjoy. Thank you so much.I hope this note finds you well.

Doesn't it suck that Breaking Dawn isn't out yet! When does Midnight Sun come out? That is Twilight from Edward's point of view. I really want to read it!
thx for adding me!!!

Hi Roxann! We haven't seen you much lately in the Women of Faith group. We have some awesome discussions going, be sure to chime in! We're also voting for our next group read... your ballot is due by June 8th, so take a look at your options and cast your vote.Amy
Can't wait to hear what you think. I listened to the author's podcast and she's very articulate and passionate about her writing. Mid July she'll be in my area and I'd like to have her sign my books although I doubt I will be able to talk with her.

woohoo! Loved what you wrote about The Shack! I couldn't agree more! I have heard many interviews he's done and he is the real deal. He's been to hell and back and The Shack reflects his personal Great Saddness and how God tenderly brought him back to his shack and healed him.

I totally agree on your comment about 'The Shack'. I had a neat experience with this book. I live in Portland, Oregon. The author of this book does also. When my Book Club read 'The Shack', William P. Young (Paul) came to our Book Group. He is just like I hoped he would be--very unassuming-- a lot like Mac from his book. It was a joy to meet him.
