Do you know of any books similar to The Secret Life of Walter Mitty by James Thurber?
I just read it and it is one of my favorites.
Are we still at war?
How have you been? I'd like to hear about what's going on if you drop a line.
I read "Sea Glass" a few years ago. I loved it.
I try to read all her stuff.
I've been reading a lot of metaphysical books that reference Castaneda. I'm interested in reading his work. Which book of his would you recommend I start with? What was your experience reading his work?
This is the best kind of war: no blood will be spilt!
To paraphrase a famous person on Las Vegas-what happens on Shelfari stays in Shelfari!:-)
I really like the range of books that you've listed. I's forgotten about Anne Rice and Machiavelli(sic???)!
Hi Bonita,
It seems like I've only been reading adolescent literature lately. I read The Giver and found it to be a fascinating futuristic book. I passed it on to my sister and mother who both enjoyed it. How about you, have you read anything interesting lately?
I saw a book on your bookshelf. I believe it was called Hand Maiden. I read the description because of the five stars and the description appealed to me. Is that the correct title?
Do I remember that you read Postcards by Anne Proulx (or something like that)? Looks like I'll have to try Doris L. Really onod't care for Dexter on TV. Finally saw it the other day. I found a copy of The Brain That . . . today. NOw I can strt it too.
oooo - i'll have to try laura lippman. I was beginning to think that no one reads just for fun or escape anymore!
I am also loving Happy Yoga...very positive and rewarding to read :)
Happy Yoga looks interesting...can you tell me about it? Tara :)
