Welcome to the group based on the book 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die. There is a general explanation of the group under the discussion thread GROUP GUIDELINES. The books of the month (BOTM) that the group is reading are pinned to the top. I hope you will enjoy the group and perhaps join in one or more of the monthly reads. April’s BOTM are 1984 by Orwell, The English Patient by Ondaatje and Black Water by Oates. Hope you can join in one or all the discussions. We are choosing May’s BOTM now.

Hi, Simone--I'm thinking you're asking about "She's Come Undone," but that's not the book that came up--something with a German title! Anyway, if it's "She's Come Undone," I recommend it. Very funny. I really enjoyed this character--it's been a while (several years before it was an Oprah book) and I don't remember a whole lot, just that it was a fun ride. Hope you enjoy it!

I am going to read 'A Prophecy Forgotten' by M.B. Weston. I have heard it is very good and I can't wait to start reading it.

Hi Simone! First things first, I love your shelf. So many good reads on there, but eclectic. I'm surprised we only have 26 in common because we share a lot of your more recent reads.
At any rate, the reason I stopped by is that I'm the moderator of Play Book Tag, and I'm thrilled that you've decided to join us. It's perfect timing because we just announced the new tag for April - - it's fantasy - - so there's plenty of time to grab some long awaited book off your TBR shelf and join in the fun. I know it was a little frenetic over there today, and I hope it didn't turn you off. We are starting a big game called Last Tagger Standing, and nearly 40 members decided to play so it's making things a little chaotic. It should settle down in the next day or so. Of course, should you want to join in, please let me know by midnight tonight. The signup closes after that.
At any rate, even if you don't have time to read with us this month, feel free to chime in on the discussions. We love meeting our new members. best, Anita
