P.S. What did you think of Cleopatra? I read Margaret George's The Memoirs of Cleopatra and thought it was great -- very lonnnnng, but good.
Hey Mum!I just started reading "How many friends does one person need" by Robin Dunbar, and I think you'd really like it! The first chapter's a little boring, but it's gets good at chapter 2, and is full of all kinds of interesting facts! (Did you know that women actually see in more colors than men? Or that your eyes are actually direct outgrowths of your brain that have become sensitive to light? Or that we get our limbic system/gut reactions from our fathers, but our neocortex/complex thinking from our mothers?) I have know idea what all these cool facts have to do with friendship, but I'm sure the author will get there eventually... in any case, it's a pretty interesting read so far, and well-written too...
It amazes me that you'll read a book by a particular author, absolutely hate it & think it's drivel, then continue to read every other book he's ever written, all the while thinking that each one in turn is absolute crap!
As a kid, I fantasied about being able to put the magic finger on people......still do...LOL!
JEALOUS!Tell me how the writing is? Is the story worth reading?See you at Open House?
Thanks for the input! I'll give "the Life of Pi" a read.
