“A true masterpiece, the book chronicles the first leg of the journey that Frodo takes to destroy the ring. As is usual for Tolkien the book is full of songs, most of which I skimmed through, but the few I read were nice but I must admit I am glad the movie adaptation, for the most part, left them out.
Reading this with renewed eyes and enjoying every second of it – 5/5 *favourited* A timeless classic.
ARAGORN:
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king
