Welcome Back!! I was starting to wonder if you would ever return. I hope your recovery will be speedy. All is well in my little corner of SouthWest Louisiana. My son is going to be a bookaholic just like his daddy, but ive kinda devised it that way;)

How are the twins? Are they enjoying Kindergaten? Are you over the seperation anxiety? ;)

I have been trying to cut down on books and book cost here too. My wife and I go to the local libraries. They usually have old books for sale. they usually sell for 25 to 75 cents. While we are there, I also look for books to check out. I will have to say that i was burned one time. I was reading The Lust Lizard of Melencholy Cove. I was about half way through and had to return it. I was going to check it out again and finish it but smoeone had a hold on it......that sucks big time.

Anyways, I am still collecting sites that have short story or novel collections on them for free. I recently found an HP Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe site. I havent fully checked them out yet but they seem promising.

As for what i am reading now, I am reading The Pines By Robert Dunbar. It is a very good book, I like the story line, but sometimes I find it hard to keep up. It may be my hectic work and home schedule. I will not blame it on the writting style.

Anyways Glad to have you back. Keep in touch, and hopefully we can find a way to enjoy great stories and conversation without breaking the bank ;)

Jelly Bean was good. The Camel's back was humorous. I liked the female character in Jelly bean better. She was a rough, wild girl that liked to shoot dice, gamble and get lit up. In Camel's back, she just seemed to be the town flirt.

Benjamin felt about his wife, the same way his family felt about him...but in reverse kinda. As she grew older and he grew younger he didnt want her around. His parents didnt want him around when he was an old man. Then again his son did not want him when he grew younger still.

I liked this story for it's simplicity. It was a quick read, and i felt sorry for benjamin throughout each stage of his life. Not fitting in no matter what. Well he did have a little time of acceptance, but it too was short lived.

Actually, i just finished Benjamin Button. We can read the whole collection though if you want to. just let me know. We can go down the list, or read various stories. I am kind of ADHD when it comes to short story collections. i jump around in the book. Since this is online reading, i guess it does not matter much ;)

I was swimming through your tbr list...I noticed that you have the curious case of benjamin button in there. I didn't even realize that it was a book by F.Scott Fitzgerald. Anyway, i have been wanting to see this movie, but have not yet....I like to read the books first whenever possible.

I bet you can guess what i did next;) I found a copy of it online. SoOoOoo...If you have not read it yet and would like to read it with me. The link is
