I will have to check out The Passage. I read a brief bit about it and it sounded very interesting. As far as Motherless Brooklyn goes, turns out Ed Norton has the writes to the movie and is supposed to be doing the script, going to produce, direct, and star as Lionel. I'm thinking he will do a very good job with the Lionel character.http://www.edward-norton.org/brooklyn.htmlRecently finished Gilead and it was well worth all of the praise heaped on it. http://www.reviewsofbooks.com/gilead/Now I'm onto "A Gathering of Old Men" by Ernest Gaines. Just 30 or so pages in so far and enjoying it.
The sausage is good. I did not mix it well enough and did not have enough time to let the flavors meld but it still turned out well. The Passage sounds good. I just finished John Fante's "Ask the Dust", what a great read. He influenced Bukowski and from what I read, Bukowski, while good, does not match up.
I finally finished Motherless Brooklyn. No fault to the book, my fault for not doing any reading for quite a while. A very good read. If you like it, Fortress of Solitude (http://www.shelfari.com/books/52236/The-Fortress-of-Solitude) is also a very good read. I hope all is well with you. I'm guessing the new pic is from the anniversary trip. All is good here in Richmond.
