I own the complete set of Louis L'Amour western novels in leather-bound and I have read each several times. My favorites are any of the Sackett novels, Flint, Last of the Breed, and Reilly's Luck.

I like John Sanford, W.E.B. Griffin, some of Tom Clancy's work and lately, I've discovered Lee Child. I stopped reading John Grisham because he tries to insert his politics into his books.

I enjoy some military history, especially anything by S.L.A. Marshall. I have an extensive library of non-fiction (if there is such) about the Vietnam War. I recently read "George Washington and Benedict Arnold, A Tale of Two Patriots" by Dave R. Palmer and found it a fascinating comparison of character traits of two Revolutionary War heroes.

I like some humor and have read most of Lewis Grizzard's work. I find the outdoor humor of Patrick McManus to be hilarious and recommend it to anyone that grew up in the country and hunted and fished as a kid. He can keep the reader and anyone around the reader in stitches. « less
