(Hello Everyone,
I am a proud mother of 3 and grandmother of 7 (with 8 and 9 on the way). I am blessed with two beautiful daughters and
one son. My son is a United States Marine who just got married on my birthday this year (2010).
I have been in every state in the United States except Alaska. Hope to make it there some
day! I went to college for one year in England and the college quit, I didn't! HA! Yep, the
campus closed down while I was home on summer vacation and all my belongings were
dumped into a huge box and sent to me. (minus a few things that I still miss.) I have
traveled to Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, France, Austria, Canada, and Mexico. As a child
when first learning to read we used to travel in the car a LOT... and I would read EVERY
sign along the highway that we came to...driving my parents and sister nuts!!! [grin] This
all translated into me being an AVID reader. I ALWAYS have a book going and couldn't
stand it if I did not. The first book I ever recall reading was called, "The Blue Willow" in the
first grade. Still like the book. ha! Around 12 or so I graduated to the novel phase and
read all of the Victoria Holt, Phyllis Whitney, and Daphne DuMurier (due tomy sister's influence)
stuff I could get my hands on. I think those books and my Dad gave me a pretty expansive
vocabulary. Now days I am heavily into biographies and autobiographies. Especially triumph
out of tragedy! I like to see how people have beat the odds and persevered through hardships.
These people inspire meI am also into books on spirituality. I love science. I love nature.
I am an "artist." Am REALLY into photography now. Just got a new Canon Rebel and am loving it!!!
I sew (I've even made a man's 3 piece suit) I knit. I crochet (BOY, do I ever!!!!!!) . I can.
I make jams and jellies and wine. I make candles and soap. I assemble bbquers, wire light fixtures,
build cat houses, and hook up surround sound systems, I write for a travel website and LOVE to write,
I love to make the words come alive and paint pictures and evoke emotions in my readers.
I was proud to be accepted as a model for the Male Abuse Awareness Campaign in 2009, and am an admin.
and the original creator of Global Village Forum (Facebook) a group who stands for peace, love, humanity,
and tolerance between all nations, races, creeds, genders etc. (please join if you care to) and more.....
As you can see I am basically HUNGRY for knowledge of any kind. I LOVE to learn!!! Always have,
always will! AND I come from a place of LOVE! It is my modus operandi. mon raison d'etre.....
I love you all no matter who you are (race, creed, color, gender, etc.) or what you believe. namaste!
