Oh, I know what you mean about the wallflowers...I'm waiting for the next one from the library too and can't think of the title...something like the devil in winter or something similar to that... I didn't read the first book in the wall flower series so I've gotta go back and catch that one too.

I have heard of the paperbackswap...I haven't really looked in to it but you've got me interested now, especially for the books my library doesn't have :) Thanks for the tip!

I think you'll like It happened one autumn! Let me know!

Cool...thanks for the feedback and suggestions! I really don't know if I've read any Bishop, Wilson, or Andrews. Will have to check them out. I do enjoy Phillips & Heath though. I'm still trying to add books I've read to my shelf...it is so hard to go back and remember what I've read for over 15 years :) lol

Oh, I completely agree on the Nalini Singh series. LOVE LOVE LOVE Angel's Blood & Archangel's Kiss...can't wait for Archangel's consort. The others I kind of go in phases about. Can't take a lot at once :) Same with Lisa Kleypas. I had previously read some of her stuff and it was so-so (not a big regency type of reader)....but got hooked on the Hathaway series and had to read it all!!!

Shirl Henke has some really good and then some "struggle to get through's". My absolute favorite it White Apache's Woman if you want a place to start. One of her best!

I'm not a huge Feehan or Kenyon fan. Just on a rotation of reading stuff at the library. There's is kinda in that read one, read most of them. Good time fillers most of the time :)

I will admit to being a big Gena Showalter fan. Some of her stuff is really good, some kind out there. My favs by her are "The Pleasure Slave" (kinky title but pretty good read), The Darkest Pleasure (which is my FAVORITE of the lords of the underworld series...I really don't think the others in that series are as good), and most of the alien huntress series. But, too much of Gena is sometimes a little overwhelming :)

Keep in touch and let me know if you try out Shirl henke or have any suggestions or read something awesome! Share please :) Take care!

Actually, I had to extend school for another year also since I changed majors in the middle. At least youre getting your Masters! Im applying right now to grad school, and that'll take me another I-dont-know-how-many years to complete. Nonetheless, I'm still looking forward it :)

Fruits Basket is one that I constantly keep hearing of. I read the first volume of the manga and wasnt particularly impressed but something's telling me I gave up too soon. You think I should take it back up?

    Hi Ali,

Julia London is a great author. She write great historical s. I started out with her older books and fell in love with her books. I like her because her books are in series and I like authors that write that way. And stick with those authors. And I am the same way the covers attract me to the books too I think it is that way for a lot of people they just don't admit it though lol. Glad you found new authors and that is what this place is all about and making new friends. This is one of my favorite sites other than FB.And also what I like about this site is that you find really great authors that go in un discovered because of the big name authors. Like and author like Gerry Bartlett she only writes one book a year but they are always super great. Sara Donati someone recommended on here Picked up her first book and I was hooked love the whole wilderness series.Would have never known about them if not for this site this is way I love it so.Have a goodnight and keep in touch. Bye, Joelle

Thank you so much for connecting with me. I appreciate it.

Isn’t the Internet wonderful? Wonder what we did before they had such kewl sites like Facebook, Goodreads and all the rest?

I want to tell you about one of the blogs I belong to with other writers. It’s called Quackers and Tease, http://quackersandtease.blogspot.com. Last week we gave away a KINDLE READER and next week we’re giving away $100 worth of scented candles. No strings. No catch; you just have to follow Quackers and Tease to be in the drawing.

And please, if you like, sign up for my monthly newsletter at KETA’S HAUNT, http://www.ketadiablo.com. I give away three books every month all year long to my great fans and friends.

Hope to see you at Quackers and Tease and Keta’s Haunt.

    Hi Ali!

Huge SEP fan here!!! I started reading Rachel Gibson when I was looking for something similar and she is the closest that I was able to find... I would definitely recommend her! I would start with her first book...Simply Irresistible... it reminds me of SEP Chicago Stars books... except it's hockey in Seattle =)

As for Adrian Phoenix... absolutely LOVE her series... The Maker's Song. It's a little on the darker/gothic side but will suck you in from page 1... I read each of the books in 2 days... I am so ready to read #4, Etched in Bone, but it won't be out till Dec 2010. She also has a new series coming out at the end of June... Hoodoo... book 1 is Black Dust Mambo and I can't wait to read it either. I'm also in her Yahoo group... Dantes_Club_Hell... she is a really awesome person too!

    Hope this helps!
