I've always felt it was some of the most imaginative work out there. A series of Unfortunate Events, Narnia Chronicles, Harry Potter, these really are some of my favorites. I frequently venture over to... more »

No i have not been having the same trouble, my only problem was getting the shelf to show up on my facebook profile when I synced my shelfari and facebook (it took like two days for it to show up), since it appeard though I have actually be impressed with how well it syncs info when i rate or add books. On the actual website I haven't been having problems. That is frustrating though, have you tried to contact the site administrators?

I have problems with this site often. I rate books and then it doesn't save the info. Do you have the same problem?

Yes, I love Pearl S. Buck. I used to always say I'd love to write the way she does! I've read the Good Earth and one other of hers, I'd like to read more.

Hi. I went to the library today looking for another audio book to keep me company when I'm driving. I found one on your list, "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time." So, I checked it out and was listening to it today. It is pretty good so far. I enjoyed going out to lunch the other day. See you when we get back in town.

Oh, it's Vermeer, not Rembrandt, right? I'm confusing myself now. I think the painter is Vermeer.

Hi. Yes, I enjoyed it. I read it a few years ago, but I thought it was a good book. I believe it was interesting and colorful. Rembrandt is one of my favorites too! Plus, I have Dutch ancestory on my Mother's side, so the country always interests me as well. I never saw the movie either. Sorry it took me a bit to reply, I hadn't been on here in a few days. Oh, and I would recommend to you the book "Like Water For Chocolate". It doesn't take long to read and it is gorgeous and imaginative and sensual! Plus, every chapter starts with a recipe and the power of delicious food and the taste buds is paramount throughout! It's been awhile. I want to read it again!

Hi Amanda! How fun. I've just been trying to rem. a lot of the books I've read
and loved in the past! The last one I read was the one on Montessori schooling,
and I'd like to read more on that subject as well. I have never read the series of
Unfortunate events, but they look like fun & I loved the movie! I also love that
that author wrote "the Unauthorized Autobiography" ! HA.
