I read the first one in a night, they are not bad not good, but very engaging. If you want something that you don't have to think about it is a good book to read. Very simple, very clean, watch for the sparkles though, they will eat your soul. DO NOT go to the movie before you read it. The movie will not make sense, it assumes you have read the book. But, at the same time it will spoil everything about the book.

Thanks! Humh I wish I knew where he got this theory. The "truth" behind fairy tales is very cool to look into.

Amber, I am currently listening to A World Lit only By Fire, and have run into a slight snag. I am very interested in Manchesters description of the Pied Piper Of Hamelin, but as I listening to the book it is impossible for me to read any footnotes or citations. I looked this up on google but found only an article on 'the Straight Dope' about this passage. They seem to think there was no citation, but, I was hoping you could look and see if there is one for me. I am pretty sure, if you read the passage by accident it won't spoil anything, as the story was only mentioned in passing. Thanks!!

This is a really engaging book, by the way. I have been listening to it while playing pogo games.

I am listening to Emma, and will likely read Pride and Prejudice next, as I have some of the more modern stuff written about The Darcys. Other than that I don't think we have ever read the same typ of books, have we?

Hola Amber! I'm so glad you joined Shelfari with me. Isn't this site great? By the way, who is Jim Butcher? Should I be reading him?
