    The Ancient One says

    A Mother's Love

    A Mother's love is something
    that no on can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
    and of sacrifice and pain,
    It is endless and unselfish
    and enduring come what may
    For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away . . .
    It is patient and forgiving
    when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking . . .
    It believes beyond believing
    when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems . . .
    It is far beyond defining,
    it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation . . .
    A many splendoured miracle
    man cannot understand
    And another wondrous evidence
    of God's tender guiding hand.

My children are in their mid to late twenties and I am proud to say they both love to read and have made it a part of their daily lives. I attribute much of this to my husband and I reading to them daily. I love your concept of this reading room.

I am no longer a teacher but I do enjoy tutoring young children and try to keep up on current, good reads for children.

Goodnight Moon is always a favorite!
I read The Queen of Halloween by Mary Engelbreit today. It is about dealing with fear which is sometimes a problem for young children during the Halloween season.
My daughter says the text is predictable, it is. I do find predictability to be an asset with young children though. It is beautifully illustrated with none of the horrific stuff often seen.
