    Hi Shawn,
The author spoke at Kurt's library last month. He was pretty interesting and it was enjoyable hearing him talk about the book but I think Oscar Wao's too literary for me.

    Dear Shawn
Nice to hear from you! I just saw your note. I loved the Twilight series. I have always had a soft spot for romance. I have never been into scifi...but this hit just the right note for me. I heard a commentator on NPR saying it had all the 'yearning' from classic literature that today's culture avoids. Maybe that is why I loved it but I saw the movie, read all four books in a week and then Garth has read them too now. He was curious what had gotten me all fired up about young adult fiction. The books even inspired me to start writing, which has been fun.
Hope you and the boys are well!

And a lot of children's books of course. We went to VA Beach for a week and listened to a ton of children's audio books.

I haven't been reading any "good books" just fluff and nonfic about bookmaking and cookbooks. When do you have time to read now?
