Terry, you need to add Takeover to your shelf - Sam too!
Did you finish Hollywood Crows? Any good? :-)
David Rosenfelt is the author whose name we were trying to remember! He writes the Andy Carpenter series. His new one is not part of the series; I think it's called Don't Tell a Soul and it is brand new. There are a couple more of the Carpenter series that I haven't read yet, you might want to check to see if you missed any too.
I didn't see any Michael Connelly on your shelf. Haven't you read some of his. I'm listening to The Lincoln Lawyer right now and it's quite good; good reader too. He's a Lincoln Lawyer because he does a lot of his work while riding around in his Lincoln. He's a defense lawyer too so its pretty neat to read from the other side of the case since I so often read detective and prosecution type stories. This is not one of Connelly's Harry Bosch series.by the way, are you going to start rating your books with stars and putting some comments for the newer books? I'd be interested in your comments :-)
I was just reading book reviews and came across "Head Wounds" by Chris Knopf. Published in May. The comment by one reviewer was: "Fans of Spenser and Travis McGee will love the off-speed dialogue and won't mind the sometimes windy ruminations or the suspiciously neat way justice is served." Since I know you like those authors, I thought I would recommend it to you. Two other reviews were starred. This is evidently his third book. The usual "recommend" option wasn't available on the book page so I'm doing it this way.
Have you considered inviting your daughter-in-laws to Shelfari? Are they readers? Do you think they'd like it?
I have 338 plan to reads and you don't think you can handle 12! Come on! You can do that in no time at all! I guarantee you'll finish yours before I finish mine - unless, of course, I can convince you that there are more out there that deserve your attention!
Have you seen mine!! I don't want to loose that because someday I WILL read all those books
Terry....Love your picture...it adds class to your space.
I almost did the same thing. What a shame! I noticed that you put your John D. MacDonald's on. I remember how much you enjoyed those. I looked at one of our databases and saw an author (Dunning) recommended as a similar read. I think he has 5 books about an antique book dealer. One (I think the first) is called Booked to Die; just in case you are looking for a new author. I haven't read his books either but I did put them on my TBR list.
Oh yes, I absolutely am impressed! With the flower too. :-)
All Right! You have an "avatar" - very nice.
Yes, I changed my picture to another one that Jim took in the back yard. I have a Shelfari Friend - Jennifer the Forgetful Faerie Queen who changes her picture every day! I don't want to do that but I do have some amazing butterflies so - this is my third since I joined in April. You don't even have one yet! I remember a really pretty one that you took of your day lillies. Then there's the miata pictures too, even if Sam has one. you can look like a club of two! :-)
Glad to see you are reading something!! :-)
What are you currently reading? You don't have anything on that shelf.
Terry....Welcome to shlfari. I have reccommended a book to you...please add it to your 'to read'shelf because I know you will enjoy it.
did you already read Fearless Fourteen???
