Hi! I'm pretty much just a typical teen-age bookworm. Aside from the obvious countless hours I spend reading, I also enjoy creating art, listening to/singing along with music, wandering around aimlessly in the woods near my house, and just hanging out with my friends. As far as books go, I don't really read any particular genre; I basically... more »

Got to love a bookworm! I noticed you'd asked about Anne of Green Gables a while back. I hope you've read it or plan to--it's one of my all time favorites. Read it first, then see the excellent movie with Megan Follows, Colleen Dewhurst and Richard Farnsworth. The last two of those actors are gone now. What a shame. A timeless classic.

Silent Spring is worth reading. It opens once mind to the truth of man's harsh acts to his environment. The book is simply written but very interesting and caters to a wide range of readers - students, professionals, even politicians. My first copy was borrowed by someone who is now a Congressman and a strong supporter of environment-saving programs. Silent Spring is in the list of Reading References for my students in the environemental course that I am teaching, and I hope to have a replacement of my own copy sooner.

You should definitely read Silent Spring. It's beautifully written and very easy to read. You'll really learn a lot about what chemicals have done to our environment, but it's written in such a way that it's very enjoyable. Plus, Silent Spring is the book that actually started the modern environmental movement, so if that's something that interests you, it's great background!

Hi. I haven't read the Nobodies yet, so I don't know if it lived up to the Anybodies. The first one was good though. I've heard Inkheart is really good and that its being made into a movie. I also want to read the sequel. Are there mountains where you live? Here its very very flat so I wish there were some here. There are alot of pastures and woods near my house that I like to walk in though.

Hi. I just wanted to request your friendship. It seems like we have some things in common. Also, I thought I'd recommend Jodi Picoult's My Sister's Keeper since I think you would like it.
