Thanks for the friend invite. I am starstruck. I loved your book. I have been telling my daughter to read it. Now that she is done with the semester, she said she will. I know that she will enjoy the story also.

A lot of everything :) I am the production & design assistant, so I do some page layout and book design as well as ads and promotional material, but I also proofread, edit some, help with acquisitions, and am on our sales & marketing team, and I maintain our website. I am working on redesigning the website now and hope to have the new site up and running by late spring. We only have 8 full time people, so many of us wear a lot of hats.

I just finished your book and I really liked it. I read it in 2 days! Although it was completely different, it reminded me of Bastard Out of Carolina and Kaye Gibbons, mostly because of the child narrator. I was so worried about those chicks throughout the entire book! Your writing is wonderfully disturbing :)

Hi, Jayne! Thanks for the friend invite. I haven't read "Tomato Girl" yet, but it's on my plan-to-read list. Congratulations on the great reviews you've received so far! We read a lot of the same books. I work for an independent publisher (John F. Blair, Publisher) in Winston-Salem, NC, so we're all really familiar with Algonquin - you're with a great house, which I'm sure you know :)
