I thought SYM was a good book. It gave a lot of that foundational stuff that we, as youth ministers, overlook. Although, I felt it a bit overwhelming. I am definitely not a detail-oriented person, and reading this book can be discouraging as it makes you feel that if you're not a detail person, then you're not going to make it. I don't agree with that.What did you think?
Hey Warren,It's a really good book. Somewhat irreverent, but I found myself agreeing with most if not all of what the author had to say. I think I actually finished it in a couple of days' time. It's a quick read.
Thanks for the add. One book I highly recommend is Rob Bell's "Sex God." It is my favorite of his books.
