that sounds amazing...i shall try to put it on my shelf to read to remind myself...when i have time...i am surrounded by my many books in the uk that i can't bring with me and will need to dump, so i have a lot of reading, i might be doing...
actually, The Jew in the Lotus is one of the most important books I've read. It's about the pilgrimage to visit the Dali Lama by a variety of Rabbi's (which means a range from Ulta-Orthodox to female rabbis- you can only imagine the dynamics!) . It is actually HH the Dali Lama who summons them to come to discover how an exiled people survives. A true story, made into a documentary, and amazingly written, the author being a poetry professor.
