Happy New Year everyone! This is going to be my year. Unlike my previous years,
this year I will not be shaken. Life is such that it can cause you be unbalanced
and broken if you let it get to you. But I'm making a determination to keep my
ground and will not fall if things get a little rough. I have joy and only joy and that's the
only thing that will keep me in the tough times. No matter what people say to me,
no matter if friends betray and hate me, no matter if people hold me in contempt and curse
my name, I will not be shaken. I must grieve my pain and when it is over, move on.
I have suffered loss, betrayal, misunderstanding by others, self doubt, and much more.
But this year, 2012, will be my year; a year of light, a year of hope.
This year, I have set some simple goals that I hope to have accomplished by the time
2013 comes along. These are as follows:
1. Read at least 100 books this year
2. Learn to speak basic Spanish (I'm still learning!)
3. Clean out my e-mail inbox
4. "Weed" my bookshelf on here of things I know that I will not read
5. Work on being a better overall person to others
6. Read through the entire Bible
7. Forgive those that have hurt me (a lot of people because I'm so sensitive)
8. Learning to not be so sensitive and taking offense toward everything
Some of these are basic, some not so basic, but nontheless, these are goals that I hope to
accomplish this year. Let's see how far I get!!!
Anyway, I hope that everyone I know has a wonderful year. I want to say thanks to all my friends out there that I speak with on a regular basis (you know who you are). Thanks for being my friend and remaining my friend and putting up with my weirdness and sensitivity as I know that I get hurt very easily. Goal 8 will hopefully help me change that about myself.
You all are the best!!! I love you all!
Also, please note that I will be dropping a lot of groups this year. Sorry everyone. I simply don't have the time to be a part of a lot of groups anymore. I haven't been participating in many of them because of this so I decided that it's best to just drop them. It's nothing personal.Feel free to view my shelves on here. I'm an avid reader so I have a ton of books of all genres. I have a huge interest range. Feel free to "friend" me on here as long as we share some common interest in books or personality. Please don't just do it just to be doing it. That's just banal. Thanks.
Sincerely,
