I am a freelance writer and manuscript editor, and despite that, I still love reading for leisure when I find the time. I like a variety of different genres (literary/classic, mystery, fantasy/science fiction, historical fiction, biography, history, well, you... more »

Don't forget to sign up to pick one of this month's authors over at Author, Author. Check out who we're reading this month, and help us pick for next month. Just find the discussion titled "Sign up to choose February's author" and put your name in the hat by tomorrow (Saturday) evening.

Karen I saw on your post that you read Old Man and the Sea by Hemingway how did you like it? I did a presentation on Hemingway in college and really loved Old Man and the sea. His other books were very masculine and full of bravado. He was definitely a man's man.

Hi Karen! I'm from the Author Author group and just wanted to welcome you to our group. As you might already know, January's "featured" author is Neil Gaiman, and we have two "secondary" authors, Ursula Le Guin and Terry Pratchett. If you're interested, you can choose a book written by one of these three authors, and after you've read it, please come post a review and star rating so the rest of us in the group know what you read and whether you liked it or not. Happy Reading!

I know my welcome is a bit late, but we're just getting caught up!
