Read the review for Island of Lost Girls: A Novel
do you remember anything about "away?" it's on your "read" shelf but not sure if i should read it or not.
i jus read "testimony" by anita shreve. i didn't get the recommendation from you but lo and behold, you have read it. :) it was good (private school sex scandal). woke up at 3am this morning and cdn't sleep so ended up finishing the book. sad story in that it was so believable. :(
hey there! I just read Happens Every Day in 1 day! Loved it! I'm stalking you to see what you pick next...have you heard of The Help?
did you see the new book from "free book friday" this week? looks like a good one. i put it on my list ("vigil" by cecilia samartin).
guess what? dana just found this "shelf" at work that has all these books on it - apparently they have a library here where people can give/take their books and boy - lots of good stuff, considering. i just took "something borrowed" by emily giffin off the shelf. NICE!
almost done with it - i got mad at myself last night b/c i was so tired i think i only read about 10 pages and it is somewhat of a page turner - i am anxious to find out what happens at the end. i will keep you posted.
"admission" just came in for me at the library. perfect timing (for once) b/c i am almost done with "change of heart" by jodi p. :)
woops- that wd be a mistake if it is under "read." i meant to put it under "plan to read." and you know what - now that i think about it - our library didn't have it. that means i have to do an interlibrary loan and hope someone else has it. let me go do that now while i am thinking about it...
perfect! the LLMM is still on reserve for me - haven't been able to get that one. the WOH is actually on the shelf at the library so i will pick that up today. that one looks like a really good one for me - love that indian stuff. and perfection i just put on reserve. thank you very much!
melissa - i finished "still alice" in a day. i LOVED it, although i found it so incredibly sad. thanks for the recommendation. now what shd i read?
oops - looks like you are still reading it! (the help? - is that what it is called?)
wd you recommend that last book you read?
i was able to view your books by author, too, and sure enough, you read "third angel." i didn't see a review - do you remember it enough to tell me whether you liked it or not? we did discuss the alec baldwin book (IMing on fb). i liked it - even though i try to keep in mind that there are 2 sides to every story, i did feel sorry for the guy.
yes! i figured it out all by myself! i love this website!
have you read anything by alice hoffman? i am trying to remember whether i have or not...figured if i did, i wd have gotten the recommendation from you and since your memory is so much better than mine, i thought i wd ask you first. i wonder if there is a way to look at your shelf by author's name? or some sort of search engine thingy? i will have to look into that -
i just saw that you read the alec baldwin book. didn't even know he wrote one! what did you think of it?
what was that so sexy so soon like?
well, i am glad i asked - i won't be reading it, either!
how did you like things i have been silent about? shd i put it on my list?
i have love, stargirl on my nightstand; however, i just can't seem to get into it. i think i have too many other things on my plate right now that i wd rather read - magazines always come first, unfortunately! corinne is started a book club and they chose emma (by jane austen) as their first read. omg - i don't think i will be able to make that one! it's hard for me to read the classics - nevermind trying to finish it in a month when i've got many other books i prefer to read -
