Read the review for The Submission
finally finished a book - state of wonder (ann patchett). i know you read this - what did you think of it? i read the reviews and i feel like what one other review said - like, i really didn't get it...? just wondering what you thought (if you remember!)
won/own - same difference. :)
have you read the life of pi? just finished it - really good. different.
looks like you need to update your shelf - didn't you tell me you finished 32 candles? :-)
i got that "32 candles" book out of the library after you sent me that email re: it - but it looked really stupid so i returned it. let me know what you think about it if/when you read it. :)
i keep meaning to write and tell you that ann patchett's new book is EVERYWHERE. everywhere i turn there is an article/review about it. she - or someone - does a great marketing job, that's for sure. how are you liking it? p.s. ursula hegi has a new book out (well, fairly new). have you read it?
i guess you're right - but jeez - that ending was ESPECIALLY heartbreaking! i don't remember the specifics of my sister's keeper but i remember that it was really, really sad - and it did stay with me for a while but these days, i remember nothing. :(
the mother wins the lawsuit and then at the end, the girl walks onto the ice and drowns. lovely.
remind me again why i read those sad, sad, sad jodi p. books? i just finished "handle with care." i can't even think about the ending w/out crying....ugh.
similar to the twilight series (young adult, sci fi sort of thing). i am going by the library today to pick up the "handle with care" j.p. book i saw on your shelf. :) katy nelsen is getting married - need something easy to read on the ride down!
have you read the hunger games?
i thought a secret kept was ok - nothing great (hence the 2 star rating from me). i just read a really great book about autism from guess who - j picoult. you've probably already read it but if you haven't it's a good read. check my shelf for the title if you are interested - i think it's "house rules" or something like that. i have read 2 of her books recently so can't keep them straight. anyway, the latest genova book is on reserve at the library for me. :)
ha - i was going to ask you if you knew lisa genova (of "still alice") had a new book out and of course, you have already read it! how are you liking a secret kept? i just finished it this weekend.
where did you get the recommendation from imperfect birds from? that's on my list, too, but i am pretty sure i didn't get it from you (for once in my life!).
Hi Melissa, Was wondering what you thought of Devotion by Shapiro- ( I am just about done reading) Some of the books on your shelf are ones I have bought and have yet to read ( along with 50 others! ) Anyway, have a great day!
how come your shelf says you are reading 62 books?????????
I'm good how are you? I'm looking forward to seeing you on Sunday!
sorry - i am referring to "perfection."
did you get your latest book from me or did i get it from you?! i read this - it was good. :)
