I like to read books that are real stories behind them and also like too get into medical books. I hope to become a nurse in the near future.     Congratulations on passing your test. Yes, it is a relief when it is done, isnt it.

    I'm going to pass on the invitations. I used to crochet a lot, but now I havent done it for a few years. The nursing home I used to work at was kinda slow at night and they would let us do crafts and things. The one I work at now is just the opposite. We are lucky if we have time for breaks and they dont even like it if we read, let alone to crafts. The ones going to school used to study, but some people abused it and weren't answering call lights, so they said they couldnt study any more. Anyway, I think I burned everyone out on crocheted gifts! LOL! I should get some towel tops done, but I'd rather read I guess. As for the photography group, I dont do that at all. Good luck on your groups though.

    DH and I actually have not finished listening to the audio book--we never seem to find the time to get together to listen. But I've listened to a lot of Obama's speeches. And I too voted for him. :-) I think he's going to do our country proud. If anyone can help us towards getting out of the messes we are in, it will be Barack Obama. It's just going to *take* a while to undo all the bad that has happened over the last eight years. Barack Obama truly cares about ALL of us.

    They must do things different in your state. (I dont know where you live). In Minnesota you dont have to go thru the whole thing again, just go for the skills test out. When I took nurses aide classes 20 years ago we only had to do 40 hours. We didnt have to do a clinical and we didnt have to test out of the class, just put our time in. I worked for 9 months before they even sent me to class. Dumb thing was that when I first started I didnt know anything and by the time I took the class i knew everything and it was very boring. Not too many years before I started, I think in the late 70's they didnt even have to have classes or tests and when they started having classes those people were grandfathered in. Funny how the work is still the same but you need so much more schooling to do it!

    Good for you. CNA is hard work but very rewarding. Why did you have to take classes if you had been a CNA before? Good luck on your future schooling.
