I'm a geeky fangirl at heart who loves to immerse herself in a good book. Nothing is better then diving into a completely different world (whether it be set in the present or the future) and getting lost in that world for a few hours. With so many amazing authors - from New York Times Best Sellers to just published - there are endless worlds and characters to fall into. Thank goodness for libraries and used book stores, my bank account wouldn't be able to handle my book fetish.
My love for books started at a young age and I have my Mom to thank. Since I can remember every Christmas there would be a special book waiting for me under the Christmas tree from her and I always looked forward to reading what book she picked out. I'll forever treasure curling up with my Mom and reading "My Friend Flicka" by Mary O'Hara and when my munchkin gets older I can't wait to curl up and read that book with her.
Erm... you may notice I have slight fetish for fandom books or book tie-ins. I'm a boxset junkie (just ask my sister-in-law who loves pilfering through my sets) and therefore love reading books about my favorite shows. Some of the Whedon essay books are high-larious and thus make my love for him that much stronger!
