  • How To Marry a Millionaire Vampire (Avon Romance)

I had to quit rolling my eyes long enough to get past the first whiny scenes of our hero Roman Draganesti but once he perked up and the plot of the story got moving the book picked up quickly and it was very enjoyable. A more lighthearted fluffier vampire story than some of the darker ones on the market but sometimes a gal needs a fluffy vampire!
    Definite reccomend , I give it a B+

  • The Hollow: The Sign of Seven Trilogy

The Hollow picks up where Blood Brothers left off. Excellent spooky suspense. I was totally charmed by the description of Fox's family farm and his untidy bachelor pad. The humor of the book was just right.
I can't wait for the final book in December 08!

Like a lot of la Nora's books it takes a couple of chapters to get into. The base story is complex and she handles it well over the first two books of this series.. " Blood Brothers" and "The Hollow"

Quinn and Cal make a cute couple and Cal's love for his hometown shines thru] The descriptions of the town and the townspeople are charmingly done.

I reccomend the whole trilogy even though book 3 won't be out till December '08.

  • Acheron
    • Rated 5 stars

I'd heard mixed reviews about this book. Even the author herself said it was unlike the others in the series having a much darker tone.

It was darker , the first part anyway. But it was a story that stayed true to Acheron's character that has been developing over all the other books. I could have done without the details of child abuse, that's not entertainment to me however I guess it was necessary to tell Acheron's story in full and that's what we've all been yelling for in the past few years.

There were tidbits and updates of the other people from previous books, some were smoothly written into the story , others seemed just stuck in there as an update and didn't really have a place in the story. Given how many characters there are in all the books combined I guess it was done with as much skill as it could have been done.

The love story between Acheron and his heroine was ok. No one could ever measure up to what is in my mind that he needs as a partner for life.. And no, I don't think he needs a overweight, middleaged, short gal from Nashville LOL.
