Brenda

I am an avid reader! I like to read just about anything except for science fiction. My favorite genres have to be mysteries and historical fiction. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Thank you for the friend add and your message, Brenda. I checked out N from the library and plan to read it after I get through Lee Child's NOTHING TO LOSE. Happy reading through your TBR pile. I hope you'll get to my books and find them to be entertaining reads. I'd say you'd have to read PELHAM FELL HERE to get the back story. Thanks for your interest. Best, Ed

I love historical fiction too...but the end was kind of blah for me. I'm excited to read the other books...I just have to order them. Good seeing you the other day! *hugs*

Well Rob finally made it home on the 31st and my mom got here the 26th. Just hold on to the the hiding place because I'm reading like 4 books right now that I need to finish. Tomorrow night Rob and I are headed to Vegas, hopefully. We have a layover in Seattle and I know there's a bunch of delays there now so I plan on reading to pass the time. I got my mom A Thousand Splendid Suns, have you read that one? How have you been?

I just saw that you like Historical Fiction-that is also one of my favorite genres! If you had to pick one favorite from all the ones you've read, what would it be?

I liked the Five People You Meet in Heaven (read oit quite awhile ago though) I think you'd really like Judith Guests's The Summerhouse and Return to Summerhouse - their romance and "what would you do if you could live your life over"...Extremely interesting! Plus my all time favorite author who reallu brought things to life so you could actually SEE the background and the characters was Luann Rice. I've read all of her I could find...Merry Christmas & I hope you are healing well...And dom't forget Mary Balogh for Historical Fiction Romance,,,

Thanks for all the recommendations, it's going to take me awhile to get through Mary Balogh's series: I'm on Slightly Tempted now.

I really liked Twilight, not because it was a well-written, really engrossing book, but more because it was just a fun easy read that I couldn't wait to see what the ending was. I honestly thought that the beginning was a little lacking in plot, but the ending was pretty good. It was the perfect book for reading over a holiday! yeah, im in school in LA, im getting my MBA at Pepperdine, and ill be done in April..which seems to be coming up really soon!!

Thank you, what a lovely thing to say...As for her cooking, she is alittle too creative / adventurous for my tastes, but a good cook nonetheless.
She truly is a joy to us all (most of the time,anyway...;-])

I'm not sure yet how this works...I just started reading the book series by Mary Balogh and find her writing very good. I just finished SimplyUnforgettable, and Slightly Wicked

    Brenda-

Doesn't really matter, they can both be read separately...at the moment I'm partial to Boneyard, but I think most authors tend to prefer their latest book :)
So flattered you're buying them, hope you enjoy them!

I think you'll like it, I certainly did. I have the book "tell me where it hurts", that little Boston on the cover is so cute, and I like the vet who wrote it...
