Hi Hank I picked up Damnable today at my local Borders store (yes they had 3 copies without me having to even ask them to order it!!) I will be excited to start it, but I may have to tag team it with my husband because he would like to read it too. Congratulations I'm sure this is a big day for you.

I think your book is coming out soon isn't it? I was just telling my husband that I am looking for something new to occupy my mind. I hate when My brain sits with nothing to do.

    Hank,
I read Heartsick, and it was very good, but also very disturbing. I think it bothers me to think a woman could be so physically cruel. I know women can be mentally cruel, but the absence of emotion with the physical cruelty was chilling. I think this is why there are so few women serial killers. It was all in all a good suggestion though so I guess when you said trust me you were right.

So, since you say "Trust Me" I will!!! Maybe you could give me your opinion on a book to read that will intrigue me, but not frighten me to the point that I spend all night sitting here on Shelfari or Facebook afraid to go to sleep!!! I was thinking of Nerve Damage by Peter Abraham, Empire of Lies, by Andrew Klavan, or Heartsick by Chelsea
    Cain.

    any help will be appreciated
    Thanks

Hank, I have to say after perusing your book shelf, I wander how you manage to sleep without having nightmares!! :) So I know you read State of Fear, was that just a lapse or do you read mostly horror?

Hank, avid reader, The World to Come, I thought very amazing in multiple ways. Reminds me in its layers of "The Hakawati" or more precisely of "The History of Love"--- and maybe a little of Chabon's "Yiddish Policeman;s...."
But the colors, vibrancy, threads, and mostly the novel as a Chagal painting were quite enthralling.
    cheers

Thanks for adding me as a friend. I loved State of Fear, it just makes you think. After reading it, I started doing quite a bit of research of my own on global warming and realized that we are such a media driven nation.
I am excited to read your book when it comes out it looks very good!

Thanks for the tip, Hank! :) Never heard of the guy, but maybe I'll get around to it. What, does he write romantic suspense or something?
