Hey Renee,Hope all is well. I saw you had some new books for your shelf and took a look. I read hotel on the corner and thought it was pretty good, although at times had to remember that it was an adult book. All told, though, it was a relaxing and satisfying read. How are you all getting on at the Clem? I miss you all very much.Elizabeth
Hey Renee! I just finished The Space Between Us by Thrity Umrigar. It was a book club selection, not one I would have chosen by myself, but it was well worth the read. I really enjoyed the discussion surrounding this book. I thought Splendid suns was much more intimate than kite runner. It described the day to day existence, sometimes brutal, for women in Afghanistan, and there was no America to mitigate the suffering. I just found out about the publishing company twelve, and finished the book The Geography of Bliss. If you like Bill Bryson, you will LOVE Eric Weiner!
