    Dear Paula: I am an author from Massachusetts. After years of rejection slips, I had my debut novel HUNTING THE KING published last year. The publication of a novel by a small independent press requires a lot of independent promotion, too. As part of that promotion I try reaching out to people who might have an interest in HUNTING, which is a page-turning thriller. The main character is Molly O’Dwyer. When Molly was five years old, she witnessed her mother die in a fire that Molly believes she set. After her mother’s death, she is raised on the campus of a Jesuit college. Thirty years later, she is an archaeologist recruited to join an expedition into war torn Iraq. What lies buried beneath the sands of ancient Babylon that would have an international team of scientists anxious to risk their lives? A passionate scientist herself, a seeker of truth, Molly can’t resist the call. Yet, still a loyal Catholic, she can’t help but fear the consequences of this momentous dig.
