I noticed you've read a book called the tarot bible. Is it a good book?
Hi! i'm new to Shelfari and I noticed that we have some books in common. "Speak" looks good. What's it about?smc
eye h8 yew.
Yes, I think you should. Striped Pajamas does a beautiful job of communicating the way a child thinks. The writing is fluid, clear, sensitive. I loved the book enormously until the AFTERWORD or whatever they called it. It was a kind of moralizing bit that detracted from all the good and glory in that small book. We both live in NYC, probably on the West Side. We could have coffee and talk about books! By the way, I found THE LOVELY BONES fairly empty. Let me know if you read it. P.S. How about THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES? I had a wonderful time!
If you are debating whether or not to read The Lovely Bones, my recommedation is to go ahead and give it a try. Of all her works, this is the one I was most able to appreciate by Ailce Sebold. I thought it was a very creative perspective to take while writing about something tragic and painfully realistic.
